Following a well-attended Winter concert and a break for Christmas and the New Year celebrations, we are preparing for our Spring concert, to be held on Sunday 15 March at St Philip's Church, Beech Road, Norbury, SW16 4NW, starting at 6.30pm.

The programme comprises Ina Boyle's Sketch for small orchestra Wildgeese, Weber's Clarinet Concerto No 2 (soloist Mebrakh Haughton-Johnson) and Dvorak's Symphony No 5. Tickets on the door £15 (with refreshments); under-18s free.

Rehearsals are already under way at our usual rehearsal venue St Bartholomew's Church Hall, 159 Ellison Road, SW16 5DE. They start at 7.45pm. There are vacancies for competent lower strings.

Our Summer concert is to be held on Sunday 21 June at All Saints' Church, Lovelace Road, SE21 8JY. The  programme comprises Sterndale Bennett's The Naiades, Percy Young's Piano Concerto (soloist Michael Jones), Delius's The Song of Summer, and Tchaikovsky's Suite No 1.

Our Winter concert will be held on Sunday 6 December, venue and programme to be announced when available.
